Psychotics

Chapter 1-Page 1      Confined

Caged, silence, lost...

I sit in the middle of my grey padded cell. No windows, no bed, nothing but padding and a two inch thick metal door to chain me here; wearing a paper thin green gown that the staff preferred to call clothes. My head bowed forward making my greasy muddy brown hair, grown way out passed my shoulders, shown in its ratty state in front of my eyes.
I've been in this hole for days only let out for daily bathroom breaks or spoon fed a tasteless grey mush. I stay on good behavior when I'm out in the halls, the nurses carry a syringe ready to pounce on the nearest mad-man. I know how to play the game; no one knows what's in the green liquid of that needle but i rather not let it seep into my skin to try an erratic escape.
The door creaks open behind me i hear the hush of his shoes on the padded floor seeing his black teeny-shoes through my hair as he balances on the balls of his feet ;facing me.
  "Hello Mitchell." He greeted pleasantly.

Adventure Crosses Danger

Chapter 1
One long night

Two men running down a hill side away from the forest, they ran urgently, to a decrepit cabin. The first man had light brown hair with a athletic body, sweat running down his brooding face, is Drake DeNaro. The second man had ink black shoulder length hair and muscular frame, having a hard time breathing through his big grin as he sprinted, is Jaco Twizz.
"Hurry! yelled Drake "Curse you, Jaco, you bastard! stop laughing it, wasn't funny!!"
between panting breaths Jaco replied "How can you not!? Those idiots deserved it but when you fell on your arse! It took away your physique of being a 'powerful sorcerer'!"
Jaco almost fell over at the memory on a new round of laughter.
" I swear if you don't stop laughing, I'll kill you!" Drake threatened
Jaco made a mocking ominous tone "Step away if your life means anything to you- and you fall!"

They reached the cabin; it was dirty and full of dishes, unwashed, along the floor and shabby table.
"That was fun!" Jaco panted as he moved the towers of plates off the table to the cluttered shelves.
Drake came over to Jaco and punched him in the face. "That's for laughing." he growled "Oh yes, it was fun having to dodge men that had heavy artillery to fore fill our death wishes and us with nothing but our brains, that could of been shot out at any moment, yet...." His voice took on a lighter tone with a growing smile playing around the corners of his mouth "we got it."
Jaco grinned mischievously through his swelling cheek as Drake reached deep into his pocket to pull out a small silver cross; placing it down on the table.
It was Landzarr's Cross from the 19th century; Queen Landzarr was to be beheaded for a crime, the king, accused her of; at her last attempt to save her life she went to a gypsy to explain her innocence. The gypsy asked for her necklace of the cross. Cursing it, that as long as the queen wore it that who ever tried to harm her would be the ones to be harmed, becoming virtually immortal.
Drake sat down in a wicker chair next to Jaco. He sighed "What do we do now?" staring at the cross.

Photo's of Rememberence *continued*

I tore at the paper with lines, circles, tornados; anything, anything to keep my hand moving across the page. Until the bell for the end of lunch rang I looked down to see I had drawn a scene of a person standing in an open door way looking at the foreground where a girl lying on the floor in a black puddle of-
I ripped out the page; picked up my stuff and slammed the hateful picture in the trash. I sauntered into my math class, tardy, without realizing I had tears rolling down my cheeks.
I hastily rubbed them away before the others took the chance to look at me with curiosity and pity; shaking my head as I sat in my seat taking out my books and needed paper and pen.
“Hey.” a voice said. I glanced to see a girl with brown wavy hair sitting next to me.
I gave a slight smile as I replied with  “ hello.”
“You’re name is Ty right?’ she inquired.
She must be new, I do not know her name; in a small town like this I’ve know these people since I was conceived.
“Yes, I am, and you are?” I asked
Viviane. Viviane Jada.”
“Hello Viviane then.” I smirked
Mr. Gunny started our class with everyday first day of school routine. Roll, introduction, documents, and homework.
Bell rang and I entered that class after class until school was out and was free from the madness!

Last Minute Part 2

Maybe I had killed him, if his spirit is haunting me; though a ghost would not be able to grip me as roughly as Robert was now.
He tilted his head down planting a kiss upon the freezing skin of my neck and inhaling deeply.
"My sweet Violet." He softly murmured.
Tears began welling up in my eyes, how I thought I would never hear his gentle voice again saying my name with love.
An image sliced through this reunion of seeing Robert to the Robert I saw only.. Oh goodness only an hour ago? Its felt like days! with his head slack to the side neck exposed to a hunk of his flesh being ripped across his throat;his blood pouring like a fountain.
I recoiled from his touch fearing and hoping it was a dream. His hand left my mouth; I whipped around to try and see him.
I felt his neck frantically but it was perfect wait, almost perfect there was however ,a thin scar; where in my graphic memory is where he had been injured.
"Violet." He whispered placing his hand upon hers'.
It was here when my legs gave out from beneath. Robert held me fast as I began to fall while bawling in rejoice of him being alive and of the stress of the evening that followed to this moment.
He hushed me as he bowed over picking me up in his arms and walked away from this dark hell-ish night of my life.

last minute

The roar of angry mobs rushing at the heels of my feet; panting and clawing through the woods in the inky black night.
She wasn’t what they thought she was:
Not a vampire! No I didn’t kill my love Robert!
Grief flooded through my veins but I can’t let it overwhelm me; my hair a gnarled mess as they are caught in branches, my dress in tatters from the clawing thorns in the brush. If only the snapping twigs could have no sound I may have a chance to escape the misunderstanding towns people.
The trees broke open into upon a small lake. New moon night, still black glass like surface but the shushing of the water stop me before going head long into it.
My breath barely coming in my lungs, heart pounding almost hurting; the mob has been lost for now best to try and catching strength.
A hand clamped over my mouth and hushed me in my ear. “Be calm.” My deep voice whispered
That voice…Robert?!

A Story at the Top of My Head

Pale early morning streaking though the curtain into the master quarters to reveal the nest of black luminescent hair peeking out from under the lush fabric covers.
It was the pre-dawn much too early then usual for Joelle Granada to arise. She pushed aside the layers of cloth and groaned; stretching her arms above her head and yawning dramatically.
She placed her bare feet upon the cool mahogany wooded floor shuffling along to her dressing cabinet, taking off her nightgown and replaced it with a deliciously dark plum dress and treading boots.
Sleepily she walked down into the kitchen where it was bustling along with cooks and servants that have most likely been awake since three in the morning. The aroma breakfast of buttermilk pancakes and brewing tea; making Joelle’s mouth water.
“Good Moring Ms. Granada up then normal this morning? Did you not sleep well?” boomed the deep voice of the cook Chef Helter. The tall round man loomed over her small frame handing her a small loaf of bread with a slice of white-cheddar cheese wrapped up in a dishrag.
It was code something that she and the cook had discussed if she told him she did sleep well she was still going to go so he would know what to do next. But knew why she didn’t sleep very well.
“I did sleep well thank you.” She murmured uncertain of what was just about to become of her.
Chef Helter nodded once; his eyes giving his emotion of really caring for Joelle. She truly grateful to have a good colleague as Helter but no more time could be wasted; for the break of day was approaching, leading away, out the door to the open chilled air.

"What have you done now?!" growled a gravely male voice. He was six feet tall and hawked over as Hakan barged into the sweltering cabin, caring the young girl in his arms then placing her on there ratty, worn orange couch.
The wooden cabin sporting a large living room with a roaring fireplace to a squat kitchen and two small bed rooms. Haken had know this house when it was just barely trees and made it into his home once he had  returned here three decades later.
"I haven't done anything, she is exhausted and would of died if I had left her in the snow." Hakan stated pulling off his light-weight black jacket tossing it carelessly onto the floor.
"Here we go again!" the man exasperated threw up his hands making his treebark-brown hair toss about. "We can't have this; its going to end up like the last girl and I have to clean up your mess." He started to step toward the girl; Hakan swiftly stood in between them.
"Stop, Shade!" Haken commanded harshly
"She's Fallen, fool! You got into her life and now she is lost in your allure. I won't let you go doing this because of your foolishness a second time!" Shade hissed his deep ever-green eyes narrowing.
"I haven't! she isn't lost!" Hakan snarled but relaxed his stance and paced over to the ebbing fire. "not yet... not now." he mumbled softly staring aimlessly into the coals.
Shade approached the limp figure placing his hand upon her forehead. "Then her soul in your possession will soon have no choice." He whispered softly; he turned, opened the door, galling wind sent a shiver of cold to the room and marched into the night. Leaving Hakan with his mistake and guilt.

The tar black night with no points of light from stars, leads you to believe there will be no more rainbow sunrises; ice cold snow crunches beneath my feet, I'm lost in my own nightmarish wonderland in this labyrinth  forest. The chill of this inky abyss makes me shiver; I've never wanted to meet my fears head on but here I was; lost in this frozen forest entrapped with them.
Chasing after this character, that people repeatedly tried to convince me, wasn't real; that it was all inside my mind; I'll prove them wrong!
I stumbled through the dark, hands out stretched; thrashing, pushing aside unseen obstacles. Jumping at every sound that echoed like a amphitheater or flinching away from sudden pains as pine needles pricked my skin; if I could see, I'm sure my breath would be like a, steam train billowing out its smoke; for the temperature was dropping drastically.
How cold must it before my blood begins to freeze?
No. I will not think of that. Focus. Him. Find Him.
What if everyone is right? What if he is not real? You're going to die chasing something that isn't there!?
shut up! shut up! shut up!
I knelt to the hard ground, packed with stone hard snow; likely leave bruises on my knees. The burning of tears threatening to over flow; a pent up scream of pain, frustration ,and utter lost of hope clawing its way up my throat to be let lose. I surrender...

I heard His gasp of surprise and dismay at the sight of me on the ground. I could not see Him but His presents, hearing His intake of breath made every pain I've endured so far, vanish.
"Zaara." His deep voice, softly whispered my name; enveloping me with instant warmth. "Why are you out here? You can't be so careless about your own safety." He wrapped arms around me and caressed my face leaving warmth in its wake where our skin met. How He could see in this shadowed dark I knew not but He was here; holding me, touching me.
I blindly turned and pressed my frosted face to His perfect, strong, muscled chest; deeply inhaling His crisp fresh scent of pine tree sap and campfire smoke.
  "Hakan." I sighed contently.
Hakan is real, he has to be! No fragmentation could be this solid!  Whatever Hakan was, real or imagined, I wanted him here; by my side always. He had saved my life numerous times before. But in the manner of his persona, I knew, he was something not of this world. Nothing like vampires or werewolves but of a darker myth; a forbidden legend, that was here before all other creatures were made.
"Come, I need to get you out of this weather." Hakan murmured into my hair as he planted a comforting kiss there. He lifted me up in his arms and sprinted silently making no sound through the thick forest. Finally, scummed to my exhaustion, I fell to sleep in his arms; begging, praying he'd still be with me when morning comes.

In the Dark

*story*

I was waiting in his dark house for him to return. He didn't come.
where is he I thought its to quiet I heard nothing coming in the darkness I was fighting back tears  he promised he would be back I still sat in the corner of the room hoping the worst didn't happen
At long last I heard footsteps walking up to the door. I held my breath the dark brown door opened and there was his face how great it was to see it. I got up and ran into his welcoming arm’s  he groaned as I did I looked up upon his baby face his eye’s filled with pain.
“Are you alright?” I asked
“I think I will be fine.” He whispered “I’m just glad I stopped him from hurting you Emily but that will not stop him he will be back.”
“W-what did he want from me anyway?” I broke my voice choking back tears. He looked worried then gave a short smile and kissed the top of my head but did not answer.
“Just let me take you home.” He said and we walk out of the house.

Chapter 1

I
t started like any other 10th grade day. You know: late for 1st period, a teacher yells at a student or yourself, go to lunch, then a teacher gives you homework that you think will take you three hours to finish; then go home, hangout with friends, and tell them about your deals and problems.
Today was different.  My friend, Jamie May, has secretly liked a guy that I’ve been crushing on since 7th grade and today he asked her out. Jason Grant, possibly the hottest guy in the whole school.  Jamie said yes.
I was heart broken and stabbed in the back all in the same day.  I wanted to scream at her, hurt her.  Anything to get back at her! I hated her for doing that to me.  I wanted her to die that day.

I also could not believe Jason.  How could anyone ever like Jamie?  I went home without talking to her after school.  That day I just stayed home and cried in my room.

Chapter 2

T
he next day I still hated her, but I guess she thought it was ok to talk to me.
“Hey, are you ok?” she asked.
  “No,” I answered.
“I’m going to break up with Jason today.”
  “Good.”
“I think he likes another girl.”
“And why are you telling me this?!” I yelled
  “I thou-“
“Yeah, you thought. Why don’t you do me a favor and never talk to me ever again!” I yelled and ran off into the bathroom.
I felt bad about what I said but I was so angry.  She should have known better than to do that to me.  I’ve told her everything about him and she said she had no interest in him at all and said that he was all mine for the taking. I wanted something to happen to her; anything to happen to her.
The class bell rang.  I dried up my tears, but I didn’t want to go because Jamie was in that class, but I had to.  So I picked up my books and headed out of the bathroom and straight on to U.S. History.  As I sat down next to Jamie, she handed me a note and I thought: “Oh, great, just what I need- a note from her.  It’s probably going to say ‘I’m really sorry’ or something.”
 It said:
Look I’m really sorry but
yeah I do like him. but all
the time I’m with him he’s
always asking about you.
I’m sorry I made
you feel bad but I’m
liking this new guy now.
his name is: Lance Blend
don’t be mad.
Jamie

After class I asked her if she really did break up with Jason. She answered, “No, and I’m not planning to.  Thanks.”
“Then why did you say you were going to?” I asked.
“I was only trying to make you feel better,” she snapped.
“What about you saying that you liked this new guy ‘Lance what’s-his-bucket,’ then?”
“Lance Blend, thank you very much, and yes, I do like him.  But I like Jason more.”
I can’t believe her! How could she say that and not even care? I thought.
“Like I just said: Don’t talk to me ever again!” I yelled.  I looked at her face. Her eyes were filling up with tears!
Why is she crying? I thought.  I walked to my next class, leaving her there. I didn’t see her for the rest of the day.
